I created this site because I wanted the share my love of healthy, delicious Paleo friendly chocolate desserts with other like minded people, especially those who may be on that journey to adopt a healthier lifestyle.

I have been a chocolate lover ever since I knew what chocolate is.  When getting ice cream as a kid my choice was always chocolate, I always loved chocolate cake, cookies, cupcakes and a deliciously rich brownies are truly some of the best things in life!

But growing older, and heavier, and generally unhealthier, I knew that I had to make a change. I began to exercise…nothing too drastic at first, just some walking. Gradually the walks became longer.

Over time I began to do more exercise, bodyweight exercises in particular, and I started to really pay attention to what I was eating. That’s when things really began to change for me.

I didn’t  really embracing a strict Paleo diet, but moving more toward eating real food, cutting out the bread, the fries, eating lots of fresh organic produce and lean organic meats, and occasionally grass fed beef, and before I know it I had dropped 15 lbs.

Eventually I was ready to really get serious and go Paleo. It wasn’t long after that I lost 15 more lbs., and at the same time started buiding muscle and losing fat.

Now, in my early 50’s I can honestly say that I am in the best shape of my life. I feel great, have more energy, my mind is focused and engaged.

But I still love chocolate. And I still indulge.

It’s not the unhealthy milk chocolate or grain based pastries that I used to eat, and I don’t eat my Paleo pastries with a big glass of milk, but I don’t miss any of that.

Now I can indulge guilt free with the knowledge that I am actually helping my body. Chocolate is actually a very beneficial food, laden with antioxidants and minerals.

There are many great websites and books available for those seeking to learn more about the Paleo way of life. You can find 1000’s of excellent Paleo recipes on the web, but as far as I know this is the only solely dedicated to the enjoyment of chocolate.

Making a shift away from the unhealthy and damaging habits that are the norm in our culture can be extraordinarily difficult. Some folks may never even consider such a change because they are not willing to sacrifice the indulgences that have been ingrained since birth.

It is my hope that this website helps some people to make that transition with the knowledge that what sacrifice they make will be worth it, and you can have your cake and eat it too
